Wilderness Desires

AJ Anderson and James Pennie use the wilderness of a physical forest as a metaphor for her inner journey and creative renewal as a model. AJ began modeling in May 2015 as a method of artistic expression. To a different but related extent, it was also a form of rebellion against the life she lived as a housewife and stay-at-home mother.

Deeply involved in the arts since she was young, her interest in nude modeling began was sparked by a college art course. When AJ begin modeling in 2015, she sought art classes for life modeling. Over time, she’s developed a preference for working with photographers.

Although AJ has a bachelor’s degree in marketing with years of experience in corporate America, she considers herself a free spirit, no longer confined by a 9-to-5 position. She currently pursues her passions: art/modeling, health/fitness, contract marketing and spiritual studies. She intends to combine those avenues to educate people about holistic living.

AJ is originally from Minneapolis, MN but currently resides in Atlanta, GA with her two children.

Some people feel the purchase of a camera turns them into a professional. Some feel a publication of a photograph makes them a professional. Those with experience know what it takes to be a professional. The knowledge of your gear, circumstances, communication and results make you professional. I LOVE PHOTOGRAPHY, and I often get asked "what kind of photographer are you," I usually answer, I'm a photographer that love the opportunity to use my camera!
