UnCovered is expanding and has open positions to become part of our team. They are available for the right people. At this time these positions are volunteer to intern to commission based on experience, sales and overall ability to grow the brand.

Editor of Photography: The photography editor is responsible for the quality and content of all editorial photographs printed in UnCovered. The photo editor is responsible for ensuring that all editorial photos are of the highest quality possible before they are published in the UnCovered. This position will also take full responsibility for the management of photos in uploading them to the UnCovered server to be placed on the magazine Website, Social Media, etc.
Director of Social Media: Selects and posts content on social media and sometimes the magazines Website.
Acquisitions Editor: An Acquistions Editor is in charge of acquiring content. Unless more specific direction is given on the masthead or the publication’s website, this is the editor you want to query. This title is more associated with the book publishing industry, but many larger magazines also have an editor specifically for acquisitions.
Art Director: S/he oversees all of the editorial (meaning not ads) art in the magazine, which includes design, photography, and illustrations. It is the highest art position on staff. Most Art Directors have Associate, Deputy or Assistant Art Directors under them. Sometimes the Art Director is called Design Director or Creative Director.
Articles Editor: This editor is the editor directly in charge of content, and may be one to field queries. Generally ensures a uniform reading experience and adherence to themes or house style in the magazine’s articles.
Assignment Editor: More likely associated with news writing, an Assignment Editor plays the role of doling out writing and investigative assignments and/or taking care of coverage issues. This editor is not likely to view queries in a magazine setting.
Assistant Editor: This player supports and assists other editors. Responsibilities vary widely and can range from clerical chores all the way up to the same types of jobs as an
Associate Editor: This is a mid- to upper- level editorial member that supports the Managing Editor or Editor-in-Chief, and takes care of the nuts and bolts of the daily operation of a magazine. This editor is likely to have the responsibility of dealing with pitches.
Features Editor (Various Departments): This is an editor in charge of one department, recurring area or recurring column in a magazine, especially larger publications. This editor may be able to respond to pitches aimed at his/her particular department.
Marketing: direct and plan programs by using direct mail, Internet advertising, store displays, special events, sweepstakes and contests, social media and endorsements.
Writer: Creates new content for distribution in the magazine, website and through social media.
